Hey you! I’m Ali.

I was born and raised on the Unceded Territories of the the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), səlilwətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, aka Vancouver British Columbia. I’ve been a professional photo mongerer for the people and happenings here since 2015. Like most things in my life, photography was never the plan - rather, a happy accident. Art has been my therapy since I could remember, but I never dreamed it could become my career.

I am a mixed Cree-Métis & Ukrainian Jew and a former youth in care. I’ve moved 30+ times around the Greater Vancouver area and Alberta, in cities, suburbs and reservations. I deeply believe these life experiences have been hugely influential on my work and have allowed me to approach each subject and photoshoot with an empathetic, heart-centred mentality. I love life, and the only thing I love in equal measure is documenting it as much as possible.
